形态描述：多年生草本。秆直立丛生，纤细，高20-40厘米，直径约1毫米。叶鞘压扁，背面具脊；密集跨生于秆基部，无毛，具膜质边，鞘口无毛；叶舌膜质，长约1毫米，顶端舌形，全缘，无毛；叶片线形，多直立，长2-7（-15）厘米，宽约3毫米，先端渐尖，基部近叶舌处被少量柔毛或两面被疏柔毛。总状花序镰形弯曲，长2-5厘米，宽约3毫米；花序柄被柔毛；总状花序轴节间长约2毫米，基部有一圈柔毛。无柄小穗长卵形，长约4毫米，宽约1.5毫米；第一颖背面微凸，3-5脉，顶端尖而具狭翅，边缘有1-2.5毫米不等长而斜展的刺；第二颖舟形，具2脊；第一小花中性，仅存膜质内外稃；第二 小花两性，稍短于第一小花；花药长1.5毫米；花柱离生。花果期夏秋季。
